Court grants permanent injunction

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Thomas Cooper struck down the City of Milwaukee's paid sick leave mandate on June 12, stating that, "This is a case where the reach of the proposed ordinance exceeds its grasp.  As such, this Court holds that the ordinance is invalid and unconstitutional and MMAC is entitled to summary judgment and the permanent injunction it seeks."

The first-ever Madison Night in Milwaukee was an unqualified success, bringing together 300 business and community leaders with state legislators representing the Milwaukee Region and beyond. The philosophy behind why an organization like MMAC makes pubic policy advocacy one of its core competencies is a relatively simple one:  Together we are stronger than we are individually.   Members of MMAC realize that our combined voices speaking in unison makes a bigger impact on the public policy process than each of us singing our own tune.
